The Italian shipyard Rossinavi‘s shows a refreshing willingness to push the boundaries of conventional design by unveiling its latest concept. And I must admit that their collaboration on a catamaran with Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) which features the unique look of a ZHA design, along with the green technology and high quality construction that Rossinavi is known for, is a breath of fresh air.
In fact, this Rossinavi-built catamaran aims to keep the air ‘fresh’ and is touted as the shipyard’s flagship green technology which includes three levels of solar panels integrated seamlessly into the design to charge a battery. very effective. An AI-driven control center monitors power consumption and battery status, as well as environmental impact so Oneiric can cruise up to 100% of the time in fully electric mode with zero emissions under the right conditions.
Meanwhile, on transatlantic crossings, Oneiric is designed to sail in fully electric mode up to 70% of the time. The solar panels, continuously charging the battery during the day, are also designed for times when the yacht is not in use and when moored can power a family villa ashore.
The main deck cockpit is comprised of a patio with slightly curved walls and ceiling to create an organic continuity that dramatically opens up water views. Going down the stairs to the swim platforms, the area widens further, eliminating walls and ceiling to give a direct connection to the sea.
Several indoor and outdoor lounges and dining areas, as well as a media room with plenty of entertainment options are joined by a large owner’s suite and four guest cabins. And as you can see in these renderings, the owner’s suite enjoys 180 degree views with skylights that also allow light to filter in from above.
In addition to Oneiric’s all-electric mode which is capable of virtually silent operations, it is also equipped with Rossinavi Zero Noise technology which isolates and reduces sound at the source.
Now, that in a concept that I would love to see come true. Watch this place.
