Google has been updating and adding features to its search engine and various acquisitions at a steady rate as the threat of the Corona virus pandemic appears to be abating and there is a huge increase in updates as developers and the brains of the tech giant are not. only working overtime but delivering revolutionary changes to make users’ lives even easier.
Over the years, the number of discussion forums and their credibility have increased. With growth towards the digital age, the number of specific and general forums across the world has increased to an astonishing number. In addition, these forums are one of the most authentic sources of advice and social communication. With Reddit at the helm of all communities and organizations to the extent that even universities and colleges have their official Reddit pages.
Apart from that, there are recommendation channels and advice channels that can be accessed with in-depth and unbiased information provided by the users of those channels. Google and the developers have acknowledged that these are amazing sources of recommendation. Thus, Google initiated the development of a chat box in its searches if any of the forum’s questions or sub-forums matched the query. It displays results from a number of forums including, but not limited to, Reddit and all the others available.
As spotted by , Google displayed these chat boxes as a two-row, multi-column carousel that is interactive on the first page of searches. This was initially seen in early May by and resurfaced when Saad Ali Khan took to Twitter to let the SEO community know about this discovery.
Upon investigation he realized that the early May version was a beta testing feature available only to certain users, and that included Mr. Pletzer as it was recently opened to more users and that is at that time Saad made the discovery. Google has not released any statement regarding the update and should not do so because the update is not a significant change but simply the categorization of a group of search results.
Google’s artificial intelligence algorithm with supercomputers is responsible for performing searches and it is only there that categorization takes place on the servers.
