Airbnb announces a redesign of its website, to change the way users view listings. The newly redesigned website allows users to explore their travel options without a specific destination. These can be country houses, A-frames or areas close to golf experiences.
In addition to the new user experience, the company has also added a new concept called “Split Stays”. It allows a traveler to book more than one listing for a long stay at the same location. Along with these changes, Airbnb has also launched AirCover which ensures that users will be covered if the host has to cancel, if they can’t check in to their Airbnb, or if the place isn’t up to scratch.
It appears to be the company’s effort to pique people’s interest in travel. Unlike the pre-pandemic period, people have not yet started traveling after the COVID-19 pandemic. Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky made the announcement via a tweet.
Today we’re introducing the biggest change to Airbnb in a decade

TechCrunch got an interview with the CEO, where he talks about the future of the company. When asked how to describe the ultimate goal, he said, “The goal of this release is to inspire possibilities in people as they travel and live around the world.” Says the business will become more flexible. There are many possibilities of what one could do with the search field.
Airbnb’s goals
Chesky said, “A lot of people have been locked up in their homes for two years. Many people haven’t taken this big trip for the first time since the pandemic. We want to encourage people to get out of their homes and into this big world.
Also, he said that with split stays, the company wants to give more options to its users. It would be an interesting option for those who will be staying longer than a week. This is to ensure that travelers are more comfortable when traveling, assured that the place would be there and even if it is not, the company will ensure that other measures are taken.
In addition to this, the company is also working on making web hosts more professional. Where individuals who have 50 or 100 houses have T-shirts with logos, so it’s a little more professional. They are also working on city accommodation as well as other cities that are not in the top 100. Now, as we open the website there are also options that a user can search based on their interests, such as wineries, grand pianos, golf, historical places, and more.
